We are pleased to advertise a forthcoming litter of English Springer Spaniel puppies from the much-anticipated mating between Lilybell Lass ‘Peaches’ and Calderfire Havoc ‘Moss’. Both parents are liver and white, KC registered, health tested and DNA clear of all hereditary diseases. 

Peaches is our beautiful family pet. She is gentle, sociable and very affectionate. She loves company and spending time with our family and friends. Peaches is a beautiful example of an English Springer Spaniel bitch – fantastic conformation and beautifully marked. 

 

Moss is an exceptional example of a working English Springer Spaniel dog. He is an elite working dog, with high prey drive, willingness to work and desire to please. Outstanding game finding and hunting ability and a natural retrieve makes him an invaluable part of the shooting team. He is also kind, gentle and calm at home.

 

This litter is due in mid June and will be ready for their forever homes mid-August. We are currently accepting expressions of interest as there is likely to be high demand for these pups. Finding the right home for our pups is important to us and we will assess potential homes to ensure suitability of allocation. If successful you will be part of your puppies’ journey from the beginning and will receive regular updates and opportunities to visit your pup.

 

The puppies will be suitable for working or family homes. The puppies will be raised in a family home, well socialised and exposed to a busy family life. All puppies will be docked, microchipped, KC registered and will be health-checked, wormed and had their first vaccination prior to going to their new homes.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
